DCLW Decanter centrifuge is driven by two motors. The main motor drives the drum and the outer casing of differential through belts while the auxiliary motor, after the differential shifting speed, drives the spiral propeller. This will make the drum and the spiral propeller rotate in the same direction with a certain differential speed.

Deanter centrifuge is a very efficiency equipment for wasterwater process working progress. The centrifuge consists of a solid bowl, which rotates and contains the process. A screw conveyor, contained within the bowl, turns at a slightly different speed from the bowl.

DC Decanter centrifuge is an effective separation equipment which use centrifugal acceleration generated by high-speed rotation into the acceleration of gravity to shorten thousands of times of the settlement time of solid particles than in the gravity field. The material is conveyed to the screw discharge port through the feeding pipe and uniformly distributed in the drum through the spiral discharge port which is rotated at a high speed, and the main motor drives the drum to rotate at high speed through the belt to generate thousands of times of gravitational acceleration.

Rapidly settlement and accumulation of the solids particles in the inner wall of the drum, there is a relative movement of the screw conveyor to the drum, which will continuously push the sediment towards to outlet. The sediment is mostly dewatered under the combined action of the screw conveyor squeeze and drum dehydration. After the separation, the liquid is discharged freely through the liquid outlet point.

Installation and adjustment:

1. Should have the necessary space location when install the decanter and electric control panel for easy to maintain and operate.
2. The potential difference of the liquid level and inlet mouth keep in 0.3-0.5m.
3. The inlet valve should installed on the outlet of the head tank which should be close to the inlet.
4. Lifting of the machine must use the four holes on the base, to avoid to using bearing pedestal or main shaft hoisting.
5. The machine adopts elastic floating bracket, the horizontal error is 0.02mm/m when install.
6. Equipped a section of transparent tube between the inlet pipe, to observe the feeding.
7. When disassembling the drum assembly should be reliably to avoid damage the bearing. The touching surface of the spare parts must clean before install it.
8. Professional electrician installs the electric machine to ensure the accurate wiring.
9. Move the motor base plate location and adjustment the belt tightness, Tt put pressure on the belt for 3 to 5 kg, belt deflection between 10-15 mm is advisable.
10. Re-check all the bolts on the machine after finish the installation.

The decanter centrifuge’s central section consists of a rotating drum with an independently rotating screw conveyor inside. The sludge is fed via inlet pipes into the mixing chamber in the screw. This is also where polymers are added for sludge flocculation. During centrifugation, the sludge is thrown through holes in the mixing chamber out against the outer walls of the drum. The dewatered sludge is transported out through the machine by the screw conveyor, while reject water is pressed back towards the reject outlet. The water level in the drum is adjustable and the type of sludge being processed determines the appropriate level.
