A MUD GAS SEPARATOR (MGS), or gas buster, is common on most drilling rigs throughout the world. The mud gas separator is used to separate wellbore gas from the drilling fluid while circulating out a kick or circulating any gas present in drilling fluids during drilling or workover operations.

The mud-gas separator also includes a gas vent associated with the main vessel and configured to vent gas from well returns introduced into the main vessel. It also includes a first mud outlet formed within the bottom portion of the main vessel and configured to pass mud from well returns introduced into the main vessel and includes a second mud outlet formed within the side portion of the main vessel and configured to pass mud from well returns introduced into the main vessel.

Unlike the traditional vacuum degasser, ZCQ vacuum degasser is a self-contained unit, ZCQ Vacuum Degasser is monitored by level sensor to protect over suction of the fluids. The gas-cut mud is drawn into the degasser by a vacuum created by a regenerative vacuum without needing centrifugal pump. ZCQ 270 degasser can act as a big agitator for the drilling mud, which helps the treatment for desander and desilter.

Mud cleaner to be as the second stage solid control equipment in the whole system. The drilling mud treated by shale shaker enter into desander and desilter to get a progress treatment to separate out of the 15-75um solid phase.

3. 1 sets of decanter centrifuge

DCLW frequency conversion decanter centrifuge is used to remove the fine solids, min separation points about 2-5microns. After treated by our centrifuge, the drilling mud can be reused after weighted or chemical adjusted.

4. 1 sets of Screw pump:

Screw pump feed for centrifuge also attached in the mud system tank skid. This positive displacement pump can work stable without agitating the drilling mud. The feeding performance is much better than other type pumps.

5. Lots of centrifugal pump and mud agitators

The pump is for oil drilling rigs application. The centrifugal pump is mechanical seal, performance equivalent to Mission Magnum pumps. The pump can be used for feeding mud cleaner desander cones, desilter cones; transferring mud in/out etc. And many vertical mud agitator placed on the mud tanks to prevent drilling mud sediment.

DC Solid control developed an enclosed solids-control system that eliminates the traditional process of shaking fluid and solids and replaces it with an enclosed, vacuum-based filtration process.

Rather than relying on high G-forces, the new system vacuums drilling fluids through a rotating filter belt by using high airflow to separate the cuttings from the fluid. The cleaned drilling fluids are then returned to the active mud system, and the drilled solids are carried forward on the filter belt for discharge or removal.

The high airflow also preempts the need for expensive mud coolers and is particularly applicable in high-pressure/high-temperature wells. The improved separation capabilities lead to better quality mud and fewer chemicals required to maintain its properties.

With more mud recycled back to the fluid system, there is less waste, and that waste is cleaner. The new solution also generates substantially drier cuttings with mud on cuttings being reduced to less than 30 percent of drilled solids, and oil on cuttings as low as 5 percent.
