On September 17, 2012, Tangshan Dachuan Machinery co.,ltd. Took part in the offshore, oil and gas technology, equipment exhibition of Dong ying. The mud agitator is composed by explosion-proof electric machine, reducer,engine base and impeller components. The electric machine ,reducer and impeller shaft are connected with each other by solid couplings. 4 leaf blades were welded on each impeller.

Drilling fluid gun belongs to the water conservancy agitator equipment, its function is rely on high speed fluid which is produced from the gun nozzle, impacting the solid phase which in drilling fluid bottom storage tank and keep it suspension. After the agitator stop a period of time, the depositional solid phase bury the impellers, it is needed to restart, drilling fluid gun can eliminate a part of resistance distance when the agitator start, it can provide the reasonable guarantee for regular work of agiatator.

Operarting Principles: The impeller can stengthen the stirring effect by making vortex of the drilling fluid. The tray installed between the leaf blades can prevent the deposition of the solid particles when the machine stopped, thereby, to reduce the moment of resistance inflicted by the sediment to the impellers when restart the equipment, therefore, to avoid burnout of the machine.

   

The structure of drilling fluid gun

According the structure of drilling fluid gun, it is divided into stationary type and rotation type.

1 The stationary type drilling fluid gun is similar with water conservancy agitator which the tank has nozzles, but the drilling fluid gun is installed on the two diagonal which is from 200meter to the bottom tank, the nozzle direction is parallel the longitudinal tank wall of circulation tank.

2 The rotation type drilling fluid gun is divided into hand regulation and autorotation. The hand regulation agitator has two hinges, it is made of access tubes, shell, spray gun and the replaceable nozzle

The spray gun with the nozzles, rely on the two hinges, it can spurt any direction in the two perpendicular planes inside. The automatic rotary drilling fluid gun is made of input pipes, body gun, cross fitting, the two bends with nipples, replacement nozzle and two coat nots.

 The use of drilling fluid gun has a certain limitation, drilling fluid gun is auxiliary tool of mechanical mixing plant device, the mud gun can dispose the solid phase suspension which is didn’t disposed by mechanical agitator. According the research date, the depth of useful effect is only 1.5-2.7m, it is related with the drilling fluid density, viscosity and the speed nozzle.

Advantages

Shortcomings

1 If use along the drilling fluid system stir, it need a lot of drilling fluid guns, the cost of pumps and pipes is big.

3 The nozzle is abraded and let to high speed flow, it needs greater power, if the nozzle is not replaced in time, it may led to motor overload.

4 If solid phase have already precipitate, drilling fluid gun directly shot to the sediment, the sediment is maybe blocking the pump, conical shield or centrifugal.

To my surprise, on the morning September 3, I went to work, I have no attention to open my email, I found a inquiry email from Italy solid control company, he said they saw our products on alibaba, they were very interesting with our company, they want the inquiry with shale shaker, I excited to shout” I have inquiry”, this is the first inquiry from my work within the three month. I had very excited, after I send a price list to him, of course this is my first order, so the price is lower compared with the same industry of other companies, the client was satisfied with my inquiry, then he sent a detailed content with shale shaker, the main content is; they want a shale shaker mating with 3000 meters well, let us gave a suggestion for him, then the detailed content was sent to our technology engineer, the engineer patient and careful design, at last fished a reasonable and reliable scheme. On September 5, we sent the scheme to the Italy client, the client thought that there are some parts were didn’t matching the link way and terrain. Then we received the need and improved the scheme, at last the client was very satisfied with our service and scheme. Mud gas separator is a special equipment of gas cut drilling fluid, it belongs to the ordinary pressure, it is the degassing theory of ordinary pressure, but it is the primary degassing equipment of disposed the gas cutting drilling fluid, the main distinguish with vacuum degasser is; it can remove the big bubbles which the diameter is bigger than 3mm. The big bubbles are refers to the swelling gas of the most drilling fluid is full of the well, their diameter are about 3-25mm.  This big bubbles can cause well kick, even erupt the surface of turntable. The gas liquid separator is mainly depend on the effect of gravity collision to realize the liquid and gas separate, the vacuum degasser use the principle of vacuum, flocculated flow and centrifuge, the quality of processing gas of vacuum degasser is less than the liquid gas separator, but it remove the gas more thoroughly. Usually the gas is processed by the liquid gas separator also have small bubbles, after through the shale shaker, it needs enter into the vacuum degasser to conventional gas.

        

The types of liquid gas separator

1 Cover type

The bottom of vacuum degasser is closed, drilling fluid through a U type pipes to return the circulation tank. The depth of drilling fluid in the degassing tank, it can control by the depth of the U type pipes.

2 Open bottom type

The separator have not bottom, the lower parts dive into the drilling fluid, the liquid level in the tank depends on the drive depth of bottom to control, this type of separator is called the “poor children” in foreign, it explains the simplification.

The open bottom types is take second place, because the depth of drilling fluid is limited to the liquid level depth in circulation tank. The working pressure of liquid gas separator is equal to the frictional drag of when the free gas discharge tubes discharge.

Hydrocyclone is a kind of mechanical separation equipment with simple and easy to maintain. Separation is realized by the admission energy change into the interior barrel centrifugal force. The centrifugal force act on drilling fluid, make drilling cuttings and other solid phase separated, this is follow Joe hicks’s law. Because the drilling cutting is too fine in some strata drilling, drilling fluid shale shaker can’t remove the drilling cuttings, so must use hydrocyclone remove the most of particles. Drilling fluid shale shaker avoid the big particles enter into the hydrocyclone and led to blocking, protect the hydrocyclone.

The best separate effect of hydrocyclone is the least liquid loss, obtain the maximum drilling fluid solid phase to discharge. The small and light particles are discharged through the overflow month. The biggest effect to the performance of hydrocyclong is the diameter, cone Angle, the diameter of bottom month, the pressure of admission, the model form viscosity of admission.

Centrifugal is a kind of solid control equipment. It can remove the particles which the diameter is bigger than 10um.

Maybe you are strange, why we not use other as the main equipment to remove particles.

The oil centrifugal is limited by the feed rate, solid discharge and ect. So it can’t disposed the whole mud solid, the best way is put the shale shaker or hydrocyclone centrifugal upstream, in order to rid of the bigger solid particles, the centrifugal remove the small part particles, the shale shaker and hydrocyclone separator can’t remove the most part of particles. According this method, you can effectively remove particles.

How remove the solid in drilling fluid of the oil centrifugal alone?

Drilling fluid mud is into high rotation speed, create 1000G at least. Then attack the centrifugal force, solid and drilling fluid mud is separated.

How work of the oil centrifugal?

Through the feed pipe enter into the conveyor, then mud through the feed port enter into conveyor belt and exit the central, with the high rotation speed of bowl, drilling fluid mud exposure the high force, led to the liquid and solid separation.

 

 

1 Solid phase total

Solid phase refers to the solventless solid in drilling fluid. Usually the solventless solid in drilling fluid use percent by volume to express. The high density drilling fluid solid phase content consist of low density solid phase and high density solid phase, but the common drilling fluid solid phase content is all the low density solid phase.

2 Liquid phase

In drilling fluid, use liquid as dispersion solid phase continuity, it is called liquid phase. Usually, water, oil, soluble salt, thinner and other produce included.

3 Low density solid phase

The low density solid phase is including commercial clay and drilling cuttings. Usually, in the solid control work, assume that the density is 2.6/cm3 or 2.65g/cm3, the actual value in the 2.0-3.0cm3 fluctuation.

4 High density solid phase

The high density solid phase improves the density of the drilling fluid, make the annulus fluid column pressure is greater than the formation pressure. The barites is a kind of high density solid phase, the barites density is recommended by American petroleum institute is bigger than 4.2/cm3.

5 Aggravate drilling fluid

The commonly known as aggravate mud, the common aggravate materials is barites, according to requirements also can use other aggravate materials, in order to keep the minimum density.

6 Drilling cuttings

Drilling cutting belongs to solid phase, it is the main pollution source of drilling fluid. It is greatly affected the performance of drilling fluid, so must make the content is stably, so have the important issues, in the process of drilling should do regular treatment to keep the content is stably of drilling cuttings.

7 The clay

The clay is mainly made of clay minerals, the form is the super fine particles, most diameters is less than 2um, it has dispersibility in water, charged sexual, ion exchange, these performance is important to drilling fluid.

8 Colloid particles

The clay diameter of solid particles is less than 2um is called particles, the material of clay particles have a big surface area. Sodium montmorillonite can shape clay suspension in water, the dispersibility of the sodium montmorillonite is good, it can improve the viscosity of drilling fluid.

9 Oil base and water base drilling fluid

The oil base drilling fluid base on oil as continuous phase, the insoluble solid phase particles is scattered to the continuity liquid phase; Water base drilling fluid base on water as continuous phase.

10 saturated brine

saturated brine is allocated by sodium chloride, the density is 1.20/cm3
